Following an encouraging response and leadership from the global SUP scene and industry, we are trying to do our best to navigate these challenging times. We want to stay connected with YOU and the SUP community through our digital channels (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). Our vision from day one was to share the SUP stoke and although we have to change our approach to what we all love doing – paddleboarding – We’re here for YOU!

#StaySUPerStaySafe

We’re all coming to terms with the “new normal” and life under lockdown, and while the itch to hit the water has never been stronger, the advice from waterway authorities was issued to #StayAtHome and stay safe. The SUP, surf and paddling communities are being encouraged to show solidarity and stop all paddlesport activity until the restrictions are relaxed by the government and to support the NHS to save lives.

We have put together helpful links with guidelines on watersports activity during the period of social distancing and non-essential travel from the UK leading organisations:

>>> Message from David Joy – CEO of British Canoeing: “We recognise that this is an incredibly challenging time for all of us within the paddlesport community and that there has never been a more important time for us all to pull together. #StaySafe #StayHome”

>>> Surfing England: “We all have tough personal choices to make. Our preference is to stay out the water.”

>>> The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI): “We are advising the public that they should not take part in any water based activity on or in the sea, to reduce the risk to the lifesaving charity’s volunteer crews and other emergency services being exposed to COVID-19, and the pressure on their time”

We will keep you posted on future developments. In the meantime, stay dope, stay safe and see you on the water soon!
